An essential resource for the legal community in Simcoe County.

Founded in 1890, the Simcoe County Law Association has long held to its tradition of supporting lawyers attending matters in the four courthouses we are situated in. The law library is located in the Barrie Courthouse and serves lawyers, paralegals, judicial representatives, and law students.

The Simcoe County Law Association Law Library provides timely access to legal information, expert research support, and a quiet space for focused work.Our large collection includes legislation, case law, practice tools, and legal databases to support fair, informed decision-making. 

The SCLA supports legal professionals spread throughout the region, so in addition to our law library and lounge located at the Barrie Courthouse, our members and visiting legal professionals have access to three additional, smaller lounges in the Collingwood, Midland, and Orillia courthouses.
